Welcome to The Denes, an attractive Edwardian Guest House in Lynton, a mere stone’s throw from the entrance to the Valley of Rocks. We offer immediate access to picturesque walks and cycling routes in Exmoor National Park, as well as a comfortable place of refuge at the end of a full day.
At The Denes, we offer traditional, high-quality food, locally sourced where possible. All bedrooms are en-suite and free wi-fi and parking are available. We have facilities to store and dry boots and waterproof clothing. Books and board games are available for a relaxing evening in. Please note that these may not be available during 2021 due to COVID-19 (see below).
This season, we are open from 17 May 2021 to 7 Jan 2022. You can be sure of a warm and friendly welcome, whether you are visiting us for the first time or are a returning guest.

We are looking forward to your joining us at The Denes during 2021. For your safety we will have procedures in place, whilst maintaining a warm and welcoming environment for your stay. On arrival we ask you to use the hand sanitiser by the font door before ringing the bell.
We will ensure all rooms are cleaned within current Covid guidelines and may reduce the number of available rooms to enable social distancing.
Should you not want to eat out in the evenings, you are welcome to collect or order a takeaway and book a table at which to eat it in the dining room between 6pm and 8pm. Plates, glasses and cutlery will be provided for you to make the most of eating in. Packed lunches can be ordered the evening before to take with you as you travel further or explore the local area.
All guests will receive an email with further details of the above, as well as attractions, eateries and walks prior to arrival.
We hope you enjoy The Denes as a base for exploring all Exmoor has to offer.
